Sebastian Bergmann created PHPUnit, the testing framework that became the de facto standard for PHP, and has maintained it continuously since 2001. His profile is an unusually clear example of long-term single-project stewardship: a focused repository list, a very long contribution history, and a language distribution that is almost entirely PHP.
